Condensation

Opaque,
transparent and invisible, this bulletproof barrier that
allows the sunbeams in,
and yet the blinding rays won’t ignite me.

Silent,
empty and hollow, frozen to the touch.
Merely my steaming
breath warms me up, scares away the chills on my back.

Hazy,
watery and condensed, as my stinging
fingers run on the bulletproof surface,
confused words appearing behind them.

Impenetrable,
nobody deciphers the true meaning.
Is it a matter of perspective? Should I maybe
change the way I write, to let them understand?

Leaking,
the same letters show as I breathe,
breathe, keep breathing.
Is this stale air really grabbing my lungs, my brain,
my heart?

Untouched,
unscratched, unmovable, this glass
enclosure around me, shiny on the outside,
wrapped in dusk light on the inside.

And I bleed,
bleed, keep bleeding.

And I breathe,
breathe, keep breathing.
